The parent company of HCA Houston Healthcare has agreed to purchase 41 urgent care centers in Texas from Arizona-based FastMed. Nashville-based HCA Healthcare Inc. (NYSE: HCA) will acquire 19 FastMed and 22 MedPost locations in Dallas, Austin, El Paso, Houston, San Antonio and elsewhere. The transaction, which does not include any locations outside of Texas, is set to close this summer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The only Houston-area locations are in Humble and Tomball, and they're both FastMed urgent care centers.
