Alamogordo's robotics team the ThunderDogs placed second among New Mexico teams in the Texas State Championships in Houston, Texas, April 5 through April 8 competing with teams from both Texas and New Mexico. The ThunderDogs first competed in two previous regional qualifier events. The first taking place in Fort Worth, Texas where the ThunderDogs brought home its first championship and leading them to a second qualifier. The second competition took place April 4 in Amarillo, Texas, against 34 teams from New Mexico and Texas.
