Over the last few months, we've talked so much about the heat dome. It has influenced our forecast pretty much non-stop since June. Unfortunately, that same dome of high pressure above our heads is responsible for diminished rain chances in the Houston area this week in spite of a tropical wave approaching the Texas Gulf Coast. Monday A subtle pattern shift is expected to arrive Monday, but this doesn't make you'll notice a drastic cool down or widespread rain. As a tropical wave pushes through the Gulf of Mexico, southeasterly winds will continue to pull in moisture.
