The Wildlife Center of Texas recently rescued some striking raptors that were a long way from home. Three Swallow-tailed Kites are currently undergoing rehabilitation at the Houston-based wildlife center before their eventual release into their natural habitat. "Known for their beautiful marking, the Swallow-tailed Kite is a sight to see, especially in Houston where they are uncommon," the center wrote on Facebook on Wednesday. "These birds spend the majority of their time in South and Central America.
