Portal Innovations, a Chicago-based venture capital firm focused on life sciences, is working to help keep Houston-born ideas here. Portal will open a 30,000-square-foot lab in 2024 to host 20 new companies at the Texas Medical Center. It will provide and help raise capital that those in the industry say is needed in the region.
