I restarted my locs to make them smaller. She (mama) quickly got me in. There was no wait. She was rough with my hair. I should have ask her to add water as my hair started to dry after I washed it. All in all, I like the way the hair turned out, but she did it with brown gel. Which now I know why that's a no no. So I'm very flaky. So this may be the better place to get braids done.

I'll update if my hair somehow repairs itself, and they know something I don't... Retwisting dreads isn't difficult, I could do it myself, but it's time consuming... I should have protested when I saw the shears, but I said "let's go with it"... I thought she was pruning them... I got them braided, and everything was clean, I got compliments, and I was flying high... A week later I go to the bouncy house with the kids, and they started to come loose, I just start taking the rest of the braids out, and my my my. One loc falls right in my hand, no big deal the rest will hide it. I run my fingers through my hair, and feel some of my roots, and s**t!!! Two more are hanging by strands, another one is mangled at the roots... All I could do is laugh, this is my second time growing my hair, and last time I freeformed. This time I wasn't, but I might just have to do something similar so that I could save my poor butchered locs... If you ever decide to go in, do not let them put scissors near your hair, anyone can retwist, and I would let them do that if I was in a bind... Hopefully you don't have to.
