This is not just this GameStop. This for all of them. I can't understand how you can sell a new product and not accept a return if it is defective. I bought a $60 remote control for an Xbox one. It did not work when I tried to use it. I went back to the store and the cashier said they don't take returns on new items because they can't resell as new. That they lose money. That I would have to talk to Microsoft for an exchange. The only way they can accept it is if it isn't opened. So buying anything new in the store is buy at your own risk. If you look on the back of the receipt and online in their website. It says an open new item can be replaced with the same item. Apparently the stores don't know their own policies. Not only that. They were talking about reselling it. A broken product. So now I am assuming that someone else will eventually but that broken remote control. After talking to two employees there. They exchanged it but it's amazing the hassle one has to go through. Every other store accepts returns or exchanges. GameStop for some reason is extra special that they don't have to. I will 100% never buy from them again. So to everybody. If you have to buy from them. Don't buy anything new.
