HOUSTON — The Woodlands native and former Houston Texans wide receiver Danny Amendola is calling it a career, his agent confirmed Monday night. Amendola spent 13 seasons in the NFL, winning two Super Bowls with the New England Patriots in the process. During his career, Amendola played for five teams including the Rams, Patriots, Dolphins and Lions, before eventually coming home to Houston last season. Following the announcement, Amendola posted a montage of highlights on Twitter with the caption, "Wouldn't have it any other way.
